The Sustainability team at Optoro, a tech start-up working in reverse logistics based in DC, is hosting a public Summer Swap Shop on Friday, August 17 from 2:00-6:00 PM at Wunder Garten (1101 First St NE), and Green Neighbor folks were specifically invited. The event will bring together people from the DC community to “trade clothing, shoes, and accessories. Bring items in any condition – ‘unswappables’ will go to our textile recycling table hosted by DC Sustainable Fashion Collective.

“We’ll also host a clothing and accessory repair table in partnership with Stitched with Style – sign-ups are on our event page below. We hope to showcase how swapping goods is a smart way to keep products out of landfill and preserve natural resources. Entry is free and the venue is dog, kid, and bike-friendly.
