Green Neighbors DC will do the Polar Bear Plunge! Jan. 26th, National Harbor
GNDC is plunging into the Potomac during the CCAN Polar Bear Plunge! January 26th, National Harbor. The Chesapeake Climate Action Network (CCAN) every year holds the Polar Bear Plunge into the icy (usually) Potomac. And each year (since 2014) we in GNDC gather folks to plunge in to raise money for CCAN and GNDC. Come join us and raise money for the cause through this cold, cold challenge, or, if you don’t want to dive in, you can come cheer us on! There will be speakers at the rally beforehand, though I am not sure who those are yet.
“Set your GPS to 141 National Harbor Boulevard, Oxon Hill, MD 20745. This will take you to McLoone’s Restaurant, which is right next to the plunge site” and join us! (Email Catherine at greenneighborsdc@gmail.com if you want to join the fundraising team who is actually going to plunge.)
Or, you can stay home warm and toasty yet still help us by donating to our team, Catherine, Becca, and Fritz, who have decided that they’d do anything to help keep winters cold.
