Parents and Kids Page!

Hey all, we’ve just created our Parents & Kids Page, which starts off with a great set of ways parents can help ensure that their kids have green, healthy schoolyards, via the Green schoolyards website hub. They really lay out potential steps.Β  We’re putting in some other Parent resources as well.

We also added in a link to the Arbor Day Foundation’s great site for young kids activities, focused around trees, of course. (Fyi, a tree on average absorbs 400 pounds of carbon dioxide per year. Sierra Club)

And we have some free connect-the-dots that explain about endangered species.

Check it out, and please send feedback on what else you would like to see on this page for DC-area green parents. Or send recommended resources to us at greenneighborsdc@gmail.com.
