National Conference Call on Fighting Cimate Change, Thursday, Jan. 18, 3:30 pm – but recording available.

Dear Friends, (from Climate Reality Check)

On Thursday, January 18, at 3:30 pm Eastern / 2:30 pm Central / 1:30 pm Mountain / 12:30 Pacific time, (please note the change from our regular time) the Climate Reality Check team will hold the latest in our series of national conference calls to help strengthen community organizing on climate, entitled:

The Year Ahead in Fighting for a Livable Planet with Bill McKibben

Even if you can’t make it on the 18th, register to receive a recording of the call.

2017 brought numerous unprecedented developments on the climate front. From the U.S. reversing course on domestic climate policy and global climate action to record-shattering heat waves, wildfires, hurricanes, Arctic warmth, and flooding.

In short: climate disruption is happening while our federal government is not only rolling back any effort to stop it, but inviting Big Polluters to exploit and burn even more climate disrupting fossil fuels.

Join the Climate Reality Check team and Bill McKibben this month to preview some of the key campaigns and activities that are emerging to respond to the Trump administration, Big Polluters and our changing climate in 2018.

Some of the areas we will preview:

· New legal strategies to hold polluters accountable
· The big oil and gas fights of 2018
· Divestment
· The role of the climate movement in the mid-term elections
· State and local efforts to act on climate

RSVP for the call: XnpkGWFuKcaJWAdx1.

Call-in details can be found on the RSVP page. You will also receive an email an hour before the call with the call-in number and code.

Talk to you soon!

The CRC team* – Allison, Nancy, Jean and Ted
