Week of Action – actually Two (whoa – even more stuff is happening)

Major marches are coming up, and there will be more than a week of action here in DC, not only centered around the March for Science on April 22, the People’s Climate March (PCM) on April 29, and a May Day march for immigrant and worker rights on May 1. There will be loads of panel discussions, performances, teach-ins, legislative outreach and other events throughout the week.

We need to stand together to protect our climate, our environment, our health, and our communities. Pretty much everything is at stake, and everyone has a role to play, whether you’ve been marching for decades, coming out to march for the first time, or participating in other discussions.  Nick is representing Green Neighbors in helping DC Metro PCM organizers with strategizing and recruiting organizations to assist with the People’s Climate March, April 29th, in DC.

We’d love to have you join us in all of these activities!

Also on Friday 4/28, at 6:30 p.m., Basav’s (yep, he’s a member) organization, the Institute for Policy Studies, in collaboration with two other groups, is putting together a teach-in to explore the ways in which we can keep fighting for just climate action in our cities, states, and communities in this incredibly hostile environment.
