Lead in Our Drinking Water
Green Neighbors organized a community meeting in September of 2016 regarding the lead in DC’s drinking water. Presenters included Claudia Barragan, Chair of the Environmental Justice Committee, DC Chapter of the Sierra Club, and Paul Schwartz, Campaign for Lead Free Water. It was fascinating, and somewhat scary meeting. Although we don’t have the minutes up yet, here are a variety of resources that our presenters and ourselves have pulled together. If you have any additional resources you would like to add, please Contact Us. We are putting together a lead resources page.
