Switch to clean energy by May 22!
Hello Neighbors,
We’ve got great news! On April 22, Groundswell announced the winning wind suppliers and their negotiated prices.
This spring, Green Neighbors worked with Groundswell and their partners Interfaith Power & Light, Chesapeake Climate Action Network, and Power of Wind, as well as others, to join in a group purchase of clean power for homes and apartments.
Thanks to over 1,000 people joining together, anyone who pays a utility bill in Maryland, the District of Columbia, Pennsylvania, and Delaware can switch their home or apartment to 100% clean energy at a price that is 4% – 8% less expensive than switching to wind power on your own.
You can do more than recycle. You have the choice to switch to wind power, which is like planting 177 trees!
For example, in DC, Pepco-DC customers will:
– Pay 7% less through Groundswell than if they tried to purchase wind energy on their own
– Pay about $6 more a month (which is equal to about 2 cups of coffee, 1/2 of a movie ticket, or 2 gallons of milk!)
Also, Groundswell will make a $10 donation to Green Neighbors for everyone from our community who enrolls.
Remember to have your electricity bill in hand. THE DEADLINE TO ENROLL IS May 22!
